Blog Guelph - three day old feet
New week, new baby.
Here we have the wee toes of Anna, born as a gift to her Dad (and Blog Guelph SuperGuy) vw-busman on Fathers Day.
If there were a season for us all, I believe summer would belong to the children.
So it with this in mind that we dedicate today to the optimism, playfulness and tenacity of kids.
May we all embrace their spirit.

Blog Guelph: Interview With CFRU's Jan Hall
CFRU.Fm 93.3's ubiquitous radio host, the wonderful Jan Hall is the voice and brains behind Royal City Rag - the two hour Tuesday morning local news dish that starts at 7 AM.
Here's an E-terview I cooked up and spread lightly over 6 posts.
So then Jan Hall - do tell the blogosphere how you got your start in the wild world of Campus Community Radio?
Jan Hall: Radio is like a drug for me. My first taste was at WEFT90.1FM, a cool community radio station in Champaign-Urbana Illinois while doing specialty veterinary training. I had a Morning Menu show (music and information) then called "Letter from America" from 6-9 a.m. I got to play the Proclaimers every week! Had to give the show up for the sake of my career.

Blog Guelph: Karen McBride
Smack dab in the middle of this crew of gals is Karen McBride - Hillside Festival's volunteer coordinator for the past five years. Thousands of cheerful Hillsiders passed through this capable woman's hands - but I'm sad to say - no more.
This is her going away party! She's moved herself to 'the land downunder' for a program admin job at a Oz festival.
What will we do without her. Guess time will tell.

Blog Guelph: Breast of Canada Launch and Avant Breast Auction Gals
The sixth annual Breast of Canada calendar launch, held on Friday night at the Youth Music Centre was a stunning success. Auction coordinator Jen Turnbull (left) acquired a fine range of breast related art while the lovely and wonderfully talented Stacey Hare (right) from Roger's First Local did an outstanding job as auctioneer. A total of $1980.00 was raised for the Canadian Breast Cancer network.
All and all, the breast calendars were launched rather nicely. Thanks goes out to every single person in attendance in body and spirit,

Blog Guelph: Gareth Lind
As the graphic designer for Hillside Festival, a series of NASCAR books and the Breast of Canada calendar, you'd think that Mr. Lind's creative genius would be fully satisfied.
You'd be wrong.
Gareth is also the master mind behind Weltschmerz, a weekly political bent comic strip that appears in Echo, Eye and his blog, (which is conveniently located on the right sidebar under 'Smart and Funny.)
