Blog Guelph: rebel rebel
Today's striking Gem features our loverly Downtown Lynn's capture of the hiking trail that leads to the Guelph Lake dam - darn pretty don't you think.
While you're here, wood you like a couple of tree links to bark up?
Please give a click and check out Plant a Billion Trees or have a boo at Guelph's BIG plan - the Plant an Old Growth Forest Project.
A handful of us tree huggers (memories of planning the first few Hillside's dance in my head) meet monthly to guide this very cool idea into full bloom. I'm thrilled to be a part of this local legacy and urge you to get involved.
Woof Woof

Blog Guelph: Twisted Forest
Today's series of seven posts has an thin environmental thread running through it.
Photographer Stingrayz found this remarkable tree in Guelph's very beautiful Preservation Park. Last week while on a hike through this forest I saw two deer.

Blog Guelph: The Spoon Tree
Todays series of photos comes with links to Guelph gigs and gems that you may want to know about.
For instance. Scratched Cornea went exploring down the James Street Trail and found the well endowed Spoon Tree. The very lovely trail starts at the east end of James Street and goes well beyond Victoria Road. Bring your own spoon.
Additional regional trail adventures are beautifully recorded by Guelph photo blogger Grand Fogger. He's even featured the very talented Jessy Bell-Smith's latest music video on one of his posts. Have a look. Have a listen.
